FINANCIAL REPORTING ANALYST

MANDATE
The Financial Reporting Analyst at Go Auto will oversee the daily financial reporting obligations of the organization. This role encompasses the preparation and finalization of monthly lender requirements, as well as the compilation of Quarterly Consolidations and Management Discussion & Analysis (MD&A). The position involves collaboration with external accountants and lending partners, in addition to managing month-end packages for selected corporate entities.
The Financial Reporting Analyst is pivotal in supporting the organization's growth and development by delivering accurate and efficient financial data and interpreting financial outcomes. In conjunction with the Financial Reporting Manager and the VP of Corporate Finance, the Analyst will provide insights on financial performance to the Executive team.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES - The position will include the following responsibilities:
Fiscal Accountability:
Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring timely completion and accurate representation of the company’s financial status; Developing monthly, quarterly, and annual lender reporting packages, ensuring timely delivery and accurate depiction of the company’s financial standing; Offering financial support to operational Controllers and the Executive team; Coordinating with the external accounting firm to ensure a smooth and cost-effective year-end process; Assisting with the integration of new mergers and acquisitions; Ensuring adherence to professional accounting standards (ASPE), audits, and quality assurance; Reviewing and improving financial policies to align with corporate and industry best practices; Aiding in the implementation of new financial reporting software; Supporting day-to-day treasury functions of the organization; Engaging with Canada Revenue Agency and managing requests as necessary; Completing month-end working papers for selected corporate entities;Leadership:
Fostering a shared vision and action where all team members feel a sense of ownership aligned with organizational goals; Contributing to change management initiatives that enhance decision-making, ensure appropriate financial controls, and improve the efficiency of financial data gathering, reporting, and analysis within the organization; andCANDIDATE PROFILE
The successful candidate will have the following:
EDUCATION:
A post-secondary degree in Accounting, Finance, or a Professional Accounting Designation is preferred.EXPERIENCE:
1-2 years of post-qualification experience in finance and accounting is preferred; Practical experience in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and working papers, including concise MD&A, KPI, cash flow, and variance analysis, with a strong understanding of ASPE; Experience in preparing short and long-term budgets, forecasts, financial models, and cash flow projections; Familiarity with corporate tax is advantageous; Experience with IFRS is preferred; Strong understanding of audit and reporting deadlines in a large company setting; Significant proficiency in Excel and CaseWare; Comprehensive understanding of controls and procedures within a complex organization.COMPETENCIES & ATTRIBUTES:
