The Opportunity:

Maple Leaf Foods is seeking a highly skilled Senior Internal Auditor to join our team. As a Senior Internal Auditor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effectiveness of our internal controls and providing valuable insights to our business partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute internal audit and advisory reviews to ensure the adequacy and operating effectiveness of our internal controls.
  • Document findings clearly in working papers and prepare draft audit and advisory reports.
  • Present engagement findings to senior management and work with them to gain alignment and ensure action plans address issues.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal audit processes and internal control matters.
  • Support the CEO/CFO Certification (C3) operational effectiveness assessments of internal controls over financial reporting and disclosure controls and procedures.

What You'll Bring:

  • A strong desire to build a career in internal audit and risk management.
  • Results-oriented high performance and a positive attitude.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to solve challenges independently and work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Strong project management skills and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • CPA, CA, or MBA required; CIA and CISA designations an asset.
  • 3-7 years of experience in audit/assurance, with internal audit experience preferred.
