As a Health Care Aide with Alberta Health Services, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support services in a variety of settings, including home, community, and healthcare facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Support patients with mobility, nutrition, and safety needs
  • Assist with organized activities and programs to promote patient engagement and well-being
  • Observe and report on patient mood, health, and wellbeing to healthcare professionals
  • Work collaboratively with patients, families, and caregivers to provide comprehensive care

Requirements:

  • Completion of Health Care Aide Certificate within 18 months of hire and active directory status on the Alberta Health Care Aide Directory
  • Must provide a confirmation letter as proof of enrolment from the Directory
  • Nursing students currently enrolled in an approved Alberta nursing program who have successfully completed a minimum of 100 hours of practicum may be considered

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with seniors
