Job Opportunity

Island Health is seeking a temporary full-time Sonographer to join our team at Port Hardy Hospital on Vancouver Island.

About the Role

As a Sonographer, you will perform general ultrasound examinations under the supervision of a radiologist. Your responsibilities will include receiving and completing requisitions, filling out forms and reports, preparing and monitoring supplies and equipment, monitoring patients, and operating ultrasound equipment.

Requirements
  • Graduation from an approved Ultrasound Technologist diploma program
  • Sonography Canada and/or American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) certification credentials as a Generalist Sonographer
  • One year of recent, related experience in a health care setting (or equivalent)
  • Eligible for registration with Sonography Canada
