Job Summary

Thompson Rivers University is seeking a highly qualified and motivated individual to fill a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Clinical Psychology. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate courses, conducting research, and contributing to the department's service activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach undergraduate courses in clinical psychology, including upper-level courses and potentially coordinate the Honours Seminar.
  • Conduct research in clinical psychology, with a focus on developing a productive research program that includes undergraduate students as collaborators.
  • Apply for and secure external funding to support research and academic activities.
  • Mentor students in the department's vibrant Honours program.
  • Contribute to the department's service activities, including departmental initiatives and activities that support Divisional and Institutional objectives.
Qualifications

The successful candidate will hold a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from an accredited clinical training program, including an APA- or CPA-accredited internship. The candidate should have demonstrated potential to develop a productive research program in clinical psychology and a commitment to scholarly teaching.
