Work Conditions:

  • Day shift or Afternoon shift: Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day. Option for overtime.
  • Work is performed indoors.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform all functions related to the preparation of sandblasting valves
  • Perform sandblasting of valves
  • Perform all functions pertaining to the painting of valves
  • Participate in coordinating work schedule for the Paint and Prep area.
  • Perform inspect product for visible damage prior to and after masking
  • Preserve product after painting for shipment to the customer
  • Maintain traceability of prepared product
  • Maintain housekeeping and cleanliness of the paint department
  • Perform all maintenance on equipment as required.
  • Ensure adherence to quality control standards.
  • Actively support and comply with corporate programs, standards, and policies, including the Health and Safety, Environmental, and Quality programs
  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Two or more years of industrial painting experience (manufacturing environment preferred) is an asset
  • Two to five years of experience using Epoxy coatings is an asset
  • Two or more years of industrial sandblasting experience is an asset
  • WHIMS knowledge and training is an asset
  • Overhead crane training or experience is an asset
  • Hoist and rigging training or experience is an asset
  • Grade 12 education preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills and capable of working with minimal supervision
  • Solid work ethic and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • A commitment to workplace health and safety and quality policy and objectives
