We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Architect to join our team at Lyons Consulting Group. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing and managing robust, scalable cloud platforms with a keen focus on automation and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:- Design, build, and maintain scalable and efficient cloud platforms that meet business requirements and support critical operations.
- Provision and configure cloud services according to design and architecture, leveraging Infrastructure as Code (IaC) pipelines.
- Lead architectural decisions for processing, storage, and access to support cloud platform operations.
- Develop and maintain strategies, processes, tools, and services for DevSecOps and Release Management.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand their requirements and deliver governed, compliant environments tailored to their needs.
- Implement Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) best practices to ensure high availability, performance, and resilience of the cloud platform infrastructure.
- Develop automation strategies to streamline platform services and minimize manual intervention.
- Manage cloud-based and on-premises resources, optimizing for cost, performance, and security.
- Design monitoring solutions and optimization strategies to ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies.
- Develop frameworks that enable effective troubleshooting and continual system improvements by operational teams.
- Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in cloud architecture, SRE, automation, and AI to continually enhance our platform.
- Experience with Azure Services: App Services, App Gateway, Azure Data Services (e.g., ADF, Azure Databricks), IaaS (e.g., VMs).
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cloud platform architecture, cloud operations, or a similar role.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience leading a team for cloud platform operations.
- Strong foundation in SRE principles and practices, including disaster recovery, high availability, and incident management.
- Expertise in DevOps and automation tools and frameworks (e.g., GitHub, Azure DevOps, Ansible, Terraform, Kubernetes).
- Experience with cloud services (Azure is a must) and managing hybrid environments.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
- Experience with cost management and optimization in cloud environments.
- Certifications in cloud architecture, such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
- Experience with Azure Data Services and data streaming platforms (e.g., Kafka, StreamSets)
