About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Chuck's Roadhouse Bar & Grill. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of food preparation and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Service
    • Prepare, heat, and finish simple food items to meet customer demands.
    • Portion and wrap foods for serving.
    • Serve customers at counters or buffet tables with a smile.
  • Cleaning and Sanitation
    • Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, work surfaces, and storage areas.
    • Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit for use in food preparation.
  • Inventory and Supply Management
    • Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
    • Stock refrigerators and salad bars to ensure adequate inventory levels.
  • Customer Service
    • Take customers' orders and respond to their needs in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Team Support
    • Assist other kitchen staff members as needed to ensure smooth operation of the kitchen.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • No degree, certificate, or diploma is required, but experience in a similar role is an asset.
  • Language
    • Fluency in English is required.
  • Work Schedule
    • 30 to 40 hours per week, with flexibility to work varying shifts.
