About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team at American Colors Painting Inc. As a Painter, you will be responsible for preparing, cleaning, and sanding surfaces to be painted, repairing cracks and holes, and applying paint, wallpaper, and other materials and finishes to interior and exterior surfaces.

Key Responsibilities
  • Surface Preparation: Prepare, clean, and sand surfaces to be painted, ensuring a smooth and even finish.
  • Repair and Maintenance: Repair cracks and holes in surfaces, and perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure surfaces are in good condition.
  • Painting and Finishing: Apply paint, wallpaper, and other materials and finishes to interior and exterior surfaces, using a variety of techniques and equipment.
  • Equipment and Machinery Operation: Operate a range of equipment and machinery, including brush painting, conventional spray painting, patterned rollers, and roller painting.
  • Surface Preparation Experience: Perform drywall taping and patching to ensure smooth and even surfaces.
  • Coating and Application Specialization: Apply aggregate painting, multi-color finishes, and paint spraying techniques to achieve high-quality results.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Work in a variety of environments, including at heights, in confined spaces, and with odors. Physically demanding tasks require attention to detail, hand-eye coordination, and the ability to distinguish between colors.
  • Personal Suitability: Demonstrate client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, initiative, reliability, and a team player attitude.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
