About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Insulation Specialist to join our team at Sibwest Building Restoration Inc. as a key member of our building envelope team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Blueprint Review: Carefully review blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements and ensure accurate execution.
  • Insulation Selection: Select the appropriate type of insulation required for each project, considering factors such as thermal performance and environmental impact.
  • Material Preparation: Measure and cut insulating materials to the required shape and dimensions using hand and power tools, ensuring precision and efficiency.
  • Application and Installation: Apply and secure insulation using various methods, including spraying, blowing, pasting, strapping, taping, and other application and installation techniques.
  • Obstruction Management: Fit insulation around obstructions and between joists and studs, ensuring a seamless and effective installation.
  • Finishing Touches: Brush waterproofing cement or other materials over insulating materials to protect against moisture and ensure durability.
  • Specialized Tasks: Fabricate and apply removable insulation pads and covers, and estimate costs and materials for each project.
  • Environmental Remediation: Remove asbestos, ceramic fibers, lead, and urea-formaldehyde insulation materials from buildings, ensuring a safe and healthy environment.
  • Project Management: Work closely with project managers to ensure timely completion of projects and meet client expectations.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field
  • Language: English language proficiency
  • Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week
