Job Title: Biological Technician

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Biological Technician to join our team at GELDA SCIENTIFIC & INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT CORP.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will assist in conducting biological tests and laboratory analyses, conduct microbiological, biochemical tests and laboratory analyses, and set up and conduct biochemical tests and laboratory analyses. They will also assist in analysis of data and preparation of reports, conduct environmental monitoring and compliance activities for the protection of wildlife and other natural resources, and conduct field research and surveys to collect data and samples.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in conducting biological tests and laboratory analyses
  • Conduct microbiological, biochemical tests and laboratory analyses
  • Set up and conduct biochemical tests and laboratory analyses
  • Assist in analysis of data and preparation of reports
  • Conduct environmental monitoring and compliance activities for the protection of wildlife and other natural resources
  • Conduct field research and surveys to collect data and samples
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience
Work Environment:

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and will be required to stand for extended periods.
