Job Title: Fireproofing Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Fireproofing Specialist to join our team at Nor-West Firestop (BC) Inc.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Installing Fire-Resistant Barriers: Install fire-resistant barriers and materials to prevent the spread of fire in buildings.
  • Fire Stopping and Sealing: Perform fire stopping and sealing tasks to ensure that fire does not spread through walls, floors, and ceilings.
  • Material Handling: Handle and install fire-resistant materials, including fireproofing coatings and blankets.
Work Environment:
  • Noisy and Dusty Conditions: Work in noisy and dusty conditions, with exposure to heavy machinery and construction equipment.
  • Physical Demands: Perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy loads and standing for long periods.
Requirements:
  • Education: Not required, but a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Experience: 1-7 months of experience in a related field, such as construction or installation.
  • Language: English is the primary language spoken in the workplace.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week, with occasional overtime required.
