Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Provider Relations Representative to join our team at Cigna Health and Life Insurance Company. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date information on healthcare providers, ensuring seamless claims adjudication and payment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provider Agreement Validation: Validate completed provider agreements and return them to providers for further review and modifications if necessary.
  • Database Management: Ensure that all pharmacy, medical supplies & equipment, and dental providers' required agreement information is entered into our system in a timely manner.
  • Provider Updates: Update all pharmacy, medical supplies & equipment, mental health care, vision care, and dental providers' modifications and terminations in a timely manner.
  • Customer Service: Handle provider, association, and software vendor inquiries in a supportive and professional manner.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with teammates and assist in other team deliverables as required.
Requirements
  • Education: Post-Secondary school diploma.
  • Language Skills: Bilingual an asset (French & English).
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of healthcare/pharmacy, medical supplies & equipment, or dental benefit administration and claims processing is an advantage.
  • Customer Focus: Strong customer service focus - understanding the Express Way Values.
  • Technical Skills: Computer literate, possessing intermediate skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), and Adobe Reader and Writer.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work independently with minimal supervision; and as a team player willing to take direction.
  • Adaptability: Flexible to new situations and adaptable to change.
  • Quality Assurance: A thorough understanding of quality assurance and delivery of service excellence.
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills, effective time management, and the ability to shift priorities working within established timelines.
  • Problem-Solving: Demonstrates initiative (learn processes and procedures, various benefits) and displays self-motivation to grasp new concepts quickly.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze, problem-solve, and mediate difficult situations.
  • Results-Oriented: Results-oriented paying attention to detail.
