Assembly of First Nations Associate Director, Rights & Governance

Assembly of First Nations is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate Director, Rights & Governance to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of our rights and governance strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement rights and governance strategies that align with the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to staff on rights and governance matters.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to advance the organization's rights and governance agenda.
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant laws, policies, and regulations related to rights and governance.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in a relevant field, such as law, politics, or governance.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a related field, preferably in a leadership or management role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Location:

Ottawa (hybrid) is preferred, open to other locations if a suitable applicant is found.
