About the Role

As a DevOps Automation Team Lead at RBC Insurance Technology, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and driving our automation strategy. You'll lead and mentor talented teams, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence within our Quality Engineering practices.

What You'll Do

  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to DevOps/Automation teams, ensuring alignment with RBC's Quality Engineering standards and best practices.
  • Champion seamless integration between team members across various projects and initiatives, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Effectively manage resources and vendor relationships, optimizing performance and driving efficiency within the automation landscape.
  • Cultivate strong communication channels with stakeholders from diverse backgrounds, including business units, IT departments, and external vendors.
  • Implement robust performance management processes, including development plans and regular performance reviews, to empower team growth and success.
  • Ensure your teams have access to the necessary training, tools, and consulting resources to achieve their objectives and contribute to organizational goals.
  • Collaborate with senior management to identify future skill requirements and develop strategies for workforce development, ensuring our automation capabilities remain at the forefront of industry trends.

What You Bring

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 7+ years of experience in DevOps/Automation, with a proven track record of implementing automation solutions using Java, Python, and/or Javascript.
  • 3+ years of experience leading and managing solution teams (Dev/Automation), fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of DevOps principles, CI/CD pipelines, and automation frameworks such as Selenium and Cucumber.
  • A strong understanding of Agile methodologies, Kanban, Scrum, and other relevant software development practices.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience testing or working with Salesforce platforms.
  • Familiarity with cloud computing technologies such as AWS or Azure.
