Job Title: Red Seal Millwright

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Red Seal Millwright to join our team at Randstad Canada. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing complex machinery and equipment, ensuring optimal plant operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot a variety of machinery, including conveyors, gearboxes, small motors, pressurized pipes, valves, actuators, chain drives, VFDs, pumps, compressors, hydraulics/pneumatics, blowers, and packaging equipment.
  • Collaborate with electricians to ensure seamless plant operations.
  • Perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure machinery runs efficiently.
  • Work on night shifts with the possibility of afternoon shifts in the future.
  • Work as part of a team on upgrade projects, as well as address any critical repairs of automated manufacturing lines.
Requirements:
  • Red Seal certification as a Millwright (mandatory)
  • Additional 4th class power engineer certification preferred (willing to train the right candidate if not already certified).
  • Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience in the food, packaging, or pharmaceutical industries.
  • Preference for candidates with experience outside oil & gas, sawmill, or mining sectors.
What We Offer:
  • Competitive wage: $48.03/hr + $0.95/hr night shift premium + $1.00/hr if 4th class power engineer
  • Straight night shifts: 10 PM to 6 AM, Monday night to Saturday morning, with the option of moving to afternoon shift at a future point.
