Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Records Archivist to join our team at the Cree Board of Health and Social Services of James Bay (CBHSSJB). The successful candidate will be responsible for managing medical records, coding components, and analyzing data to ensure compliance with policies and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
  • Coding and classification of medical records using ICD-10/CIM and other classification systems
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative analyses of medical records to identify trends and patterns
  • Apply policies and procedures related to the disclosure of information contained in medical records
  • Collaborate with the professional team to teach and assess records based on objective criteria
  • Provide support to the medical archivist team leader in the performance of duties and fulfillment of responsibilities

Requirements:

  • Diploma in medical records techniques or a related field
  • Member in good standing of AGISQ (Association Québécoise des archivists médicales)
  • Two (2) years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of laws and regulations related to the management of information in the health sector
  • Intermediate level knowledge of Excel and Word
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and communicate effectively

Language:

  • Fluent in English
  • Fluency in French is an asset

Other:

  • Willing to travel and telework may be available
