Job Title: Day Camp Counsellor

We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Day Camp Counsellor to join our team at KKetchum Consulting. As a Day Camp Counsellor, you will be responsible for leading and instructing groups and individuals in arts and crafts, recreational or leisure programs, and planning and carrying out recreational, fitness, and sports activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Instruct groups and individuals in arts and crafts
  • Lead groups and individuals in recreational or leisure programs
  • Plan and carry out recreational, fitness, and sports activities
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children
  • Encourage children to express creativity through the media of art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity
  • Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children
Requirements:
  • High Five training (principles of healthy child development)
  • CPR Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
