Job Summary:

The Shipper-Receiver will be responsible for coordinating the movement of goods, materials, and equipment within our warehouse and to external locations. This role requires strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Scheduling and Coordination: Schedule transportation conveyances and prepare bills of lading, invoices, and other shipping documents.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of inventory, including tracking shipments and verifying incoming goods against invoices or other documents.
  • Warehouse Operations: Assemble containers and crates, inspect and verify goods, and route goods to appropriate storage areas.
  • Packing and Unpacking: Pack goods to be shipped and unpack goods received, ensuring that all items are properly labeled and stored.
  • Equipment and Machinery: Operate dollies, hand trucks, industrial lift trucks, and fork-lifts, as well as pallet lifters, to move goods and equipment within the warehouse.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Computer and Technology Knowledge: Proficient in database software, spreadsheet, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Word, and MS Windows.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, with attention to detail, and handling heavy loads.
  • Personal Suitability: Accurate, dependable, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication, initiative, judgement, organized, reliability, and team player.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience: Experience an asset.
