Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Warehouse Operations Specialist to join our team at Fastenal. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining branch inventory, receiving, picking, packaging, shipping, and cycle counting inventory, as well as making local deliveries with a company vehicle as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain branch inventory, including receiving, storing, and shipping products
  • Perform cycle counting and inventory management tasks to ensure accuracy and efficiency
  • Make local deliveries with a company vehicle as necessary, adhering to safety and regulatory guidelines
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to company standards and regulations
  • Perform other duties as needed to ensure branch success

Requirements:

  • 18 years of age or older, due to the nature of work
  • Possess a current full valid driver's license issued in the country where the job is located, as well as the ability to meet our driving record requirements to use a company vehicle, as needed
  • Proficient written and oral communication skills
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrate strong organization, planning, and prioritizing abilities
  • Highly motivated, self-directed, and customer service-oriented
  • Demonstrate attention to detail and strong sense of urgency
  • Work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity, and teamwork
  • Lift, slide, carry, and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 75lbs
  • Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico, and Guam ONLY)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience receiving, shipping, sorting, or managing inventory
