Job Summary:

The Logistics Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of corporate domestic and international logistics for BCLC. This role includes managing inventory control, inspecting received goods, coordinating shipments, and recycling and disposal of end-of-life items. The Logistics Operations Manager will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective logistics operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and control corporate merchandise and inventory levels to optimize supply chain efficiency
  • Process internal orders and liaise with logistics providers to ensure timely delivery
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, suppliers, and government agencies to facilitate smooth logistics operations
  • Coordinate logistics for daily operations and special projects to meet business objectives
  • Manage recycling and disposal of end-of-life goods to minimize environmental impact

Qualifications:

Education and Experience

  • Post-secondary courses in supply management or a related field
  • Relevant certification in logistics or supply chain management preferred
  • 2 years' experience in shipping and receiving, with a focus on inventory control and logistics coordination

Technical Skills:

  • Knowledge of warehousing procedures and best practices
  • Forklift and warehouse equipment certification an asset
  • Experience with inventory control systems and logistics software
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams

Working Conditions:

  • Ability to lift and move heavy packages and materials
  • Safely use materials handling equipment and follow safety protocols
