About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Early Childhood Education Worker to join our team at Creative Children's Day Care. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and nurturing environment for children to grow and develop.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development: Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Storytelling and Engagement: Engage children in activities through storytelling, teaching songs, and preparing crafts, while encouraging creativity through art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity.
  • Supervision and Guidance: Supervise staff, trainees, or volunteers, and assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote child development.
  • Record Keeping and Reporting: Assist in keeping records and submitting written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children, and attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children.
  • Environment and Safety: Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children, and establish guidelines for behavior.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Work Setting: Child care centre, nursery school, kindergarten, or before and after school programs.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
