Job Opportunity
The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) is seeking a skilled and dedicated Family Medicine Specialist to join their team in Wadena, Saskatchewan. As a Family Medicine Specialist, you will be responsible for providing primary healthcare services to the community and working collaboratively with other medical professionals to support acute care, long-term care, and emergency services.
About the Role
- Provide comprehensive primary healthcare services to patients of all ages, including routine check-ups, health assessments, and disease management.
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including specialists, nurses, and allied health professionals, to provide high-quality patient care.
- Participate in the development and implementation of healthcare programs and services to meet the needs of the community.
- Contribute to the education and training of medical students, residents, and other healthcare professionals.
Requirements
- Certified or eligible to be certified with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC).
- Regular or Provisional License with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CPSS) (or eligible to be licensed).
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Recommended - Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).
- Valid driver's license.
- Successful SHA credentialing, including but not limited to acceptable reference checks and criminal record check with vulnerable sector.
- Current Canadian Medical Protective Association coverage.
- Legal entitlement to work in Canada.
