Software Engineer Role

  • Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
    Key Responsibilities
    • Develop, enhance, and test software applications
    • Address and communicate technical challenges, processes, and solutions
    • Create documentation, reports, and manuals regarding software functionality and maintenance
    • Assist in gathering and documenting user requirements
    • Support the creation of logical and physical design specifications
    • Develop and test software solutions for e-commerce and web applications
    Experience Requirements
    • 1 to 2 years of relevant experience
    Support for Individuals with Disabilities
    • Conducts training for staff to foster an inclusive work environment for individuals with disabilities
    Support for Newcomers and Refugees
    • Engages in community initiatives that assist newcomers and refugees
    • Provides support for immediate settlement needs of newcomers and refugees
    • Facilitates social and labor market integration for newcomers and refugees
    • Recruits individuals affected by conflict or natural disasters
    • Assists newcomers and refugees with the recognition of foreign credentials
    • Offers mentorship programs pairing newcomers and refugees with seasoned employees
    • Delivers diversity and cross-cultural training to create an inclusive workplace for newcomers and refugees
    Support for Youth
    • Participates in initiatives aimed at promoting youth employment
    • Provides tailored on-the-job training for young individuals
    • Offers mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities for youth
    • Conducts training for staff to create a welcoming environment for youth
    Support for Indigenous Peoples
    • Engages in programs that support Indigenous communities
    • Provides mentorship and networking opportunities for Indigenous employees
    • Builds and maintains relationships with Indigenous communities and organizations
    • Offers cultural competency training to all staff to foster an inclusive environment for Indigenous workers
    • Facilitates access to Elders for guidance and support for Indigenous employees
    Support for Visible Minorities
    • Participates in programs that support visible minority groups
    • Implements hiring practices that promote equity for visible minorities
    • Provides mentorship programs connecting visible minorities with experienced staff
    • Conducts diversity training to create an inclusive workplace for visible minorities
