The Lead Financial Analyst will report directly to the Corporate Controller. Compensation will be aligned with experience.


Key Responsibilities and Deliverables:

General Ledger Management:

Prepare journal entries, document transactions, and maintain ledgers across various formats and systems. Ensure timely completion of monthly closing tasks to support both internal and external reporting.

Financial Reporting and Insights:

Assist in the preparation and analysis of monthly financial statements for multiple resort entities to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for enhancement. Provide valuable financial reports and key performance indicators to the General Managers of the resorts.

Account Reconciliation:

Conduct account reconciliations, ensuring precision and promptly addressing discrepancies. Maintain and update the general ledger with accurate and comprehensive data. Review various statutory reports and payments, including sales tax and similar obligations.

Regulatory Compliance and Auditing:

Ensure compliance with all applicable accounting standards, regulations, and internal policies. Support external audits by providing necessary documentation and clarifications.

Budgeting and Financial Forecasting:

Collaborate with the finance team to assist in budget preparation and forecasting, supporting long-term financial strategies.

Process Optimization:

Identify opportunities for process enhancements and streamline financial operations. Implement best practices to improve efficiency and accuracy.

Financial Controls:

Aid in the development and maintenance of robust internal controls to protect company assets, mitigate financial risks, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and financial policies.

Collaborative Teamwork:

Work alongside cross-functional teams, including operations, development, and procurement, to gather financial data and reporting.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

CPA designation preferred with a minimum of three years of post-designation experience. Proficiency in Sage Intacct is essential. Ability to learn and utilize new financial software and tools effectively. Strong to advanced skills in Excel are required. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment. High ethical standards and a commitment to confidentiality.Willingness to travel to various resort locations is necessary.
