About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Cable Network Technician to join our team at Wipro Comnet Inc. as a Telecommunications Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining aerial and underground telephone equipment, inspecting and testing cable signals and associated equipment, and ensuring the smooth operation of our network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Network Installation and Maintenance: Install and maintain aerial and underground telephone equipment, including cable modems and software to enable Internet access.
  • Cable Signal Testing: Inspect and test cable signals and associated equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Equipment Repair and Replacement: Repair or replace faulty cables, power suppliers, and amplifiers to minimize network downtime.
  • Report Generation: Complete and maintain accurate test and service reports to track network performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Work at Heights: Climb and work aloft on poles, ladders, or other support structures to access and maintain network equipment.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with our team to ensure seamless network operations and provide excellent customer service.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • Language: English language proficiency.
  • Work Hours: 35 hours per week.
