We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Specialist to join our team at Trillium Health Partners. As a key member of our Operating Room team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the overall success of our surgical services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Meet performance standards as outlined by the College of Nurses and by Trillium Health Partners' policies and procedures.
- Meet performance standards established by ORNAC (Operating Room Nurses Association of Canada).
- Contribute to the overall surgical operating room team.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of recent or current OR experience.
- SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF A RECOGNIZED CERTIFICATE COURSE from an approved teaching institution.
- Demonstrated clinical competence in nursing practice.
- Certification in sanctioned medical acts and added nursing skills.
- COMPLETION OF THE CAN CERTIFICATION OF PERIOPERATIVE NURSING would be considered an asset.
- Current BCLS and CPR Certification.
- Reliable and flexible individual to work as part of a diverse work team.
- Ability to think critically and effectively in order to prioritize needs in emergency situations.
- Highly effective decision making, problem solving and organizational skills combined with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
- Positive attendance and work record essential.
