Pipefitting Specialist

The University Health Network is seeking a skilled Pipefitting Specialist to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring the integrity and functionality of our plumbing systems.
Qualifications- Education: Completion of secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
- Experience: A minimum of 7 months to less than 1 year of relevant experience is necessary.
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and specifications to establish the layout of plumbing systems, including water supply and waste management networks.
- Identify and designate locations for pipe connections, passage openings, and fixtures within walls and floors.
- Execute cutting of openings in walls and floors to fit pipes and fittings appropriately.
- Assemble pipes utilizing couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, or through soldering, brazing, and welding techniques.
- Conduct leak tests on pipes using air and water pressure gauges to ensure system integrity.
- Assess piping system requirements and determine appropriate pipe sizing.
- Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to meet specified dimensions and configurations.
- Review human resources directives to ensure adherence to occupational health and safety regulations.
