Job Title: Data Scientist

Kirmac Collision & Autoglass is a leading provider of collision repair services in British Columbia. As a Data Scientist, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and innovation through data-driven decision making.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Data Collection and Interpretation:
    1. Extract and analyze data from various sources, including databases, APIs, and external datasets.
    2. Develop and implement data quality control processes to ensure accuracy and reliability.
    3. Provide data-driven insights to inform business decisions and drive strategic initiatives.
  2. Statistical Analysis and Modeling:
    1. Apply statistical techniques to identify patterns, correlations, and trends within the data.
    2. Develop and deploy predictive models using machine learning algorithms.
    3. Evaluate model performance and fine-tune parameters to optimize results.
  3. Business Insights and Communication:
    1. Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their goals and challenges.
    2. Present complex data insights in a clear and concise manner, using visualizations and reports.
    3. Maintain documentation for data management and analysis.
  4. Automation and Process Improvement:
    1. Design and implement automated solutions to streamline data collection and analysis processes.
    2. Develop smart solutions to address specific business challenges and improve operational efficiency.
    3. Monitor data accuracy and performance to ensure continuous improvement.
Requirements:
  1. Educational Background:
    1. Bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field, such as computer science, statistics, or mathematics.
    2. Additional certifications in data science or machine learning are an asset.
  2. Experience:
    1. Typically, 2-5 years of relevant work experience in data analysis, statistical modeling, or machine learning.
    2. Experience with data analysis tools, such as SQL, PowerBI, and Azure.
  3. Skills:
    1. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
    2. Proficiency in SQL and experience with data visualization tools.
    3. Excellent communication skills to convey complex findings to non-technical stakeholders.
    4. Adaptability to evolving technologies and data trends.
