We are seeking a skilled Structural Design Engineer to join our team at Kiewit Industrial and Water Engineering. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing structural solutions for various industrial projects across North America.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement structural designs for projects, including research, system selection, analysis, and drawing preparation.
- Apply industry standards and best practices to ensure high-quality designs and project deliverables.
- Mentor and direct junior engineers to develop their skills and expertise.
- Utilize Building Information Modeling (BIM) to create detailed plans and drawings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including construction, vendors, and owners, to address structural-related issues.
- Recommend process improvements and standards updates as needed.
- Manage project plans, schedules, and budgets, including staffing needs.
- Bachelor's degree in civil or architectural engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or in the process of obtaining licensure.
- 5-8 years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on industrial projects.
- Effective communication and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in engineering software, including CSi SAP2000, SAFE, and RISA Suite.
- Familiarity with BIM software, such as Revit, and 3D modeling experience.
