In this role, you will support our Generator Service Line, focusing on the execution of commissioning projects while providing technical assistance and ensuring exceptional customer service. You will also engage in business development and client relationship management, contributing to the financial objectives of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Bring your expertise in generator commissioning and technical consulting to the role, supported by an Electrical or Mechanical Engineering degree and proven project management skills.
  • Cultivate relationships with clients to secure orders that meet or exceed expectations, leveraging your network within the industry.
  • Assist in the development and execution of marketing strategies for the service line, collaborating closely with leadership and sales teams.
  • Lead field operations with assigned personnel, ensuring optimal resource utilization and effective communication with all stakeholders.
  • Support contract negotiations and administration, including cost estimates and resource planning, while preparing reports with actionable recommendations.
  • Develop a well-informed business strategy based on thorough market analysis and competitor insights.

Customer Engagement and Order Management:

  • Identify and prioritize service and market development initiatives.
  • Foster relationships with current and prospective clients.
  • Gather and analyze client feedback regarding quality, satisfaction, and technical issues.
  • Provide technical sales support through proposals and presentations.
  • Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills.

Technical Leadership:

  • Stay updated on advancements in generator commissioning and performance testing.
  • Ensure Kinectrics delivers top-tier services to the industry.
  • Anticipate industry needs through effective resource management.

Deliverability and Profitability:

  • Ensure project commitments and technical work are completed on schedule, within budget, and meet quality standards.

Qualifications:

  • A solid foundation in electrical engineering principles, typically gained through a 4-year degree and additional practical experience in advanced topics.
  • Proven experience as a commissioning engineer for hydro and/or turbo generators, with a strong understanding of generator design and operational systems.
  • Recognized as a technical authority in electrical engineering, particularly in generator commissioning and performance testing.
  • Familiarity with excitation and governor systems for commissioning and performance testing is highly desirable.
  • Business development acumen, including opportunity identification and customer service skills.
  • Effective leadership and interpersonal skills, demonstrating sound judgment and decision-making capabilities.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in generator commissioning and performance testing, along with project management experience in a multidisciplinary setting.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in business development.
