Conestoga Meat Packers Ltd is seeking a committed individual to become part of our workforce as a Meat Production Specialist. This role requires working in a challenging environment characterized by noise, strong odors, and cold conditions typical of meat processing facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform the humane slaughtering of livestock.
- Carefully remove inedible components from carcasses.
- Debone and prepare meat for further processing.
Qualifications:
- Education: Completion of secondary school is required.
- Experience: Prior experience ranging from 1 to less than 7 months is preferred.
Work Environment:
- Expect a noisy and odorous atmosphere, with cold/refrigerated conditions.
- Work settings include slaughterhouses and meat processing facilities.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to handle repetitive tasks and physically demanding duties.
- Manual dexterity and strong attention to detail are essential.
- Must be capable of lifting weights up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
Personal Attributes:
- Must be accurate and a team player.
Additional Information:
