About the Role

Gemstar Security Service Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Security Guard Supervisor to join our team. As a Security Guard Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our security team, ensuring the safety and security of our clients and their properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Emergency Response: Be the point of contact for emergency situations and handle them in a professional and timely manner.
  • Team Coordination: Coordinate activities with other work units or departments to ensure seamless operations.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and submit progress reports, as well as other necessary documentation.
  • Supply Chain Management: Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
  • Problem-Solving and Technical Advice: Resolve work problems, provide technical advice, and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
  • Staff Supervision: Supervise, coordinate, and schedule the activities of workers, as well as train them in job duties, safety procedures, and company policies.
  • Office and Volunteer Staff Supervision: Supervise office and volunteer staff as needed.
  • Work Scheduling and Procedures: Establish work schedules and procedures to ensure efficient operations.
Supervision

You will be responsible for supervising a team of 3-4 people.

Certifications and Licenses

You must hold a Provincial/Territorial Security Officer Certificate.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
  • Combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Work under pressure.
  • Work Term: Permanent.
  • Work Language: English.
  • Hours: 35 hours per week.
