About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join our team at Nova Scotia Health Authority. As a Cardiac Sonographer, you will play a critical role in assisting physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with heart and blood vessel conditions.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a graduate degree from an accredited School of Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound, Sonography Canada certification, and Nova Scotia College of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Professionals (NSCMIRTP) licensure. You will also need to have current BLS certification and a minimum of one year clinical experience. Experience in a tertiary care setting and with Philips IE 33, Epiq 7, and Xcelera Workstations is an asset.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform Echo ultrasound examinations as requested in accordance with departmental standards and techniques.
  • Work alongside physicians to assess patients and their conditions.
  • Use technology to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with heart and blood vessel conditions.
