Position Overview

The role of a First Press Operator at Cascades Canada ULC involves overseeing the operation of printing machinery to ensure high-quality production standards.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of College or CEGEP
  • Experience: A minimum of 2 to less than 3 years in a similar role
Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and adjust plates or cylinders for printing tasks
  • Analyze job orders to ascertain production timelines, color sequences, and required quantities
  • Configure the press and operate it at a reduced speed to verify sample quality
  • Provide guidance and training to apprentices
  • Disassemble and clean plates and cylinders following production runs
Equipment Proficiency
  • Experience with printing machinery is essential
