About the Role

We are Vergers Leahy Inc., a leading agri-food processing company in the Haut-Saint-Laurent MRC region, employing over 280 people. Our employees are our greatest asset, and we offer them a range of social benefits, including group insurance, RSP, sick leave, and a 40-hour workweek over four days.

We are currently seeking evening workers to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the cleaning of our production lines when they stop.

Key Responsibilities
  • Know and comply with quality and food safety standards, occupational health and safety regulations, and company policies at all times.
  • Perform various tasks required by your Supervisor in relation to sanitation.
  • Notify your Supervisor in the event of a mechanical breakdown.
  • Notify your Supervisor and the Lab in the event of a quality issue.
  • Ensure a clean and safe work environment at all times.
  • Operate production equipment required for the proper functioning of production lines.
  • Prepare and complete production sheets for the current day.
  • Label, pack, and register pallets containing products to be delivered and ship them to the warehouse using a forklift.
  • Clean up the work area.
  • Sanitize machines used.
Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with the following skills and qualifications:

  • Ability to work physically.
  • Good ability to work under pressure.
  • Computer skills.
  • Independence.
  • Experience with a forklift (asset).
