Key Responsibilities:
  • Load and Unload Goods: Safely load and unload goods from trucks, ensuring accurate inventory and minimizing damage.
  • Operate and Maintain Vehicles: Operate and maintain company vehicles, performing pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Oversee Vehicle Condition: Regularly inspect vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition, reporting any issues or concerns to management.
  • Perform Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent mechanical issues and ensure vehicles are in top condition.
  • Communicate with Dispatch: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, ensuring timely updates on delivery status and any issues that may arise.
  • Record Cargo Information: Accurately record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption to maintain accurate records and optimize routes.
Requirements:
  • Driver's License: Possess a valid Class 1 or A driver's license.
  • Experience: Willingness to train and gain experience in the trucking industry.
  • Documentation Knowledge: Familiarity with driver logbooks, inspection reports, and trip reports.
  • Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver's license and ability to travel extensively.
