Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Elementary School Teacher to join our team at Satnam Education Society of British Columbia. As a key member of our educational community, you will play a vital role in shaping the minds of our students and helping them achieve their full potential.

Responsibilities
  • Education and Experience: A Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field is required. While experience is an asset, we welcome both new and experienced teachers to apply.
  • Work Setting: Our school is a private institution that values a supportive and inclusive environment for both students and staff.
  • Key Tasks:
    • Discuss student progress with parents, guardians, and school officials to ensure a collaborative approach to education.
    • Evaluate and document student progress to inform instruction and support.
    • Participate in educational conferences and workshops to stay updated on best practices.
    • Supervise teaching assistants and train student teachers to foster a culture of mentorship.
    • Assign and correct homework to promote academic rigor and responsibility.
    • Develop engaging course content that meets curriculum standards.
    • Lead students in activities that promote physical, mental, and social development.
    • Prepare and administer tests to assess student understanding.
    • Teach using a variety of methods, including lessons, discussions, and field trips.
Certifications and Qualifications
  • A Provincial or Territorial Teaching Certificate is required.
