Job Title: Restoration Steeplejack

Heritage Restoration INC is seeking a skilled Restoration Steeplejack to join our team. As a key member of our restoration team, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient removal, repair, and replacement of steeples, spires, and other structural elements on historic buildings.

Work Environment

As a Restoration Steeplejack, you will work at heights, in confined spaces, and in various weather conditions. You must be comfortable with dusty, noisy, and odorous environments. You will also work outdoors and in urban areas.

Responsibilities
  • Instruct apprentices in the art of restoration steeplejacking
  • Operate industrial lift trucks and fork-lifts, power tools, and hand tools
  • Work with a variety of materials, including metal, wood, and stone
  • Collaborate with other restoration specialists to ensure a high-quality finish
Requirements
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field
  • Other trades certificate or diploma
  • Ability to distinguish between colours, attention to detail, and manual dexterity
  • Excellent oral communication and teamwork skills
