Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the comprehensive development and implementation of communication strategies for pivotal global health programs, including malaria, aimed at achieving substantial business outcomes.
  • Design and execute campaign-oriented communications to foster awareness and engagement in critical global health areas.
  • Oversee communications related to the pipeline of global health pharmaceuticals, including announcements of significant drug launches and milestones.
  • Create communication strategies with a newsroom approach, ensuring impactful messaging across all internal and external platforms, from digital content to media outreach.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure consistent messaging for Global Health programs and foster long-term media partnerships.
  • Manage reactive communications and address issues pertaining to global health programs, ensuring prompt and effective responses to media inquiries.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive communications plan for the organization's foundation.
  • Stay informed on critical policy matters affecting global health and integrate this knowledge into communication strategies.
  • Utilize insights to inform strategy and evaluate progress effectively.
  • Gain a deep understanding of key audiences and stakeholder groups to tailor communications appropriately.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • Fluency in English is essential, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Extensive experience in communications, particularly in global health or pharmaceutical sectors.
  • Proven success in crafting and executing communication strategies and campaigns for global health initiatives.
  • Strong background in media relations and crisis management.
  • Exceptional analytical skills to interpret data and inform decision-making.
  • Demonstrated ability to cultivate relationships with media and key stakeholders.
  • Outstanding leadership and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment and deliver results under pressure.
  • Consultancy experience is advantageous.
