Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineering Technologist to join our team at Parsons Corporation. As a key member of our Critical Infrastructure team, you will play a vital role in designing and delivering critical infrastructure projects that connect and protect communities around the world.

Responsibilities
  • Interpret and ensure conformance to applicable standards and codes, as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Understand and utilize advanced software to complete assignments.
  • Produce conceptual and detailed drawings of diverse municipal infrastructure, including municipal roads, underground linear infrastructure, and grading and drainage systems.
  • Work closely with engineers and other disciplines to ensure coordinated design systems.
  • Ensure compliance with required design safety factors, tolerances, and specifications.
  • Review supplier data and supplier/manufacturer drawings, as required.
  • Check orthographic (2D) and/or isometric (3D) drawings prepared by others.
  • Perform checking procedures as appropriate to the discipline and assigned by immediate supervisor.
  • Perform design and quantity calculations.
  • Utilize AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, or OpenRoads to perform various design work.
  • Participate in discussions with technical and engineering personnel, reviewing development issues reported to assist in resolving issues.
Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree in Engineering Technology or related field (or equivalent related training/certification if applicable) and typically 2+ years experience.
  • Bilingual English/French is not required but is preferred.
