Job Description

Aramark Canada is seeking a highly skilled Support Services Manager to oversee the food and facilities contract at a healthcare facility in Kamloops, BC.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Establish and Maintain Relationships: Foster effective working relationships with other departments to provide a unified food service experience for residents, visitors, and employees.
  2. Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and overall workplace safety standards.
  3. Client and Customer Relations: Interact with Client Management and maintain effective client and customer relations at all levels of the client organization, including conducting rounding. Identify Aramark service expansion opportunities.
  4. Team Management: Provide overall direction and manage performance for all Supervisors and front-line employees, ensuring employee development, engagement, and compliance with human resource-related policies and standards.
  5. Food Service Direction: Direct, staff, and train food service department regarding food presentation, quality, cost control, and cash handling.
  6. Inventory and Menu Management: Responsible for ordering, inventory, menu development, and production planning.
  7. Scheduling and Payroll: Maintain and verify employee work schedules through web-based payroll tracking systems.
  8. Accounting and Financial Management: Monitor and verify accounting documentation through web-based systems.
  9. Union and Scheduling Standards: Follow Union seniority/scheduling standards and policies.

Qualifications:

  1. Education: Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in a relevant field.
  2. Experience: Basic Housekeeping Experience or full EVS experience as an asset.
  3. Menu Management and Budgeting: Menu management, balancing a budget, and working within assigned operational costs/budget.
  4. Leadership and Management: Requires a minimum of 5+ years progressive experience managing operations with financial and operational responsibility for the sites/departments.
  5. Computer Skills: Computer savvy with Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  6. Communication: Ability to communicate (both verbal and written) effectively with clients, customers of the client, and support staff.
  7. P&L Accountability: P&L accountability and/or contract-managed service experience is desirable.
  8. Management and Leadership: Requires management and leadership skills and the ability to work with confidential employee, client, and Aramark information.
