Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team as a Project Manager. This role will be responsible for managing CAPEX and non-CAPEX projects at our Whitby Mill, with the possibility of working on projects at our Cambridge Mill. The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, with experience in project management and a proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage CAPEX and non-CAPEX projects from development to completion
  • Integrate new technologies into the plant
  • Train and develop employees in technical and project-related information
  • Conduct technical studies to support CAPEX investments
  • Support process improvement projects where applicable
  • Oversee substation modifications, upgrades, and maintenance activities
  • Develop and manage internal engineering and/or project management procedures
  • Create, review, approve, and issue engineering drawings as required
Requirements
  • Four-year degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum years of industrial experience
  • Specialty in steel-related field
  • Knowledge of engineering and construction techniques used in industrial design, construction, operation, and maintenance
  • Ability to apply engineering fundamentals to continuous improvement efforts
  • Good communication skills and ability to articulate ideas
  • Knowledge of CAD software and Microsoft Office
