Job Title: Occupational Therapist

Vision Loss Rehabilitation Canada is seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping individuals who are blind or partially sighted to develop the skills and strategies they need to live independently and participate fully in their communities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients to identify their strengths, needs, and goals
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address the client's needs and goals
  • Provide occupational therapy services to clients in a variety of settings, including their homes, schools, and community centers
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure that clients receive comprehensive and coordinated care
  • Provide education and support to clients and their families to help them understand and manage their vision loss
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Current registration with the College of Occupational Therapists in Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island
  • Experience working with individuals who are blind or partially sighted
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
