Job Title: Long Haul Tractor-Trailer Driver

RITE-LINE TRANSPORTATION INC. is seeking a skilled and experienced Long Haul Tractor-Trailer Driver to join our team. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials across the country.

Job Summary:
  • Drive a tractor-trailer combination to transport goods and materials over long distances.
  • Ensure timely delivery of cargo while maintaining a high level of safety and security.
  • Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
  • Load and unload cargo, and perform other duties as required.
Responsibilities:
  • Drive a tractor-trailer combination to transport goods and materials over long distances.
  • Ensure timely delivery of cargo while maintaining a high level of safety and security.
  • Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
  • Load and unload cargo, and perform other duties as required.
  • Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes.
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
  • Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment.
  • Pay and receive payments for goods.
  • Perform brake adjustments.
  • Perform emergency roadside repairs.
  • Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle.
  • Perform preventive maintenance.
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch.
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption.
  • Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo.
  • Transport and handle dangerous goods.
Requirements:
  • AZ class license.
  • Air Brakes Endorsement.
  • Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks).
  • Working at heights training.
  • Air Brake (Z) Endorsement.
  • CPR Certificate.
  • Defensive Driving Course.
  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
  • Extended Trailer Combination Permit or Endorsement.
  • FAST (Free and Secure Trade) Program.
  • First Aid Certificate.
  • Pro-Trucker/Smart Driver (fuel efficiency) Training.
  • Professional Driver Improvement Certificate.
  • Skid Control Training.
Work Environment:
  • United States.

  • 45 to 60 hours per week.
Education:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
Experience:
