Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Floor Covering Specialist to join our team at Leap Contracting INC. The ideal candidate will have experience in installing various types of floor coverings, including carpeting, resilient floor coverings, and hardwood floors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and measure surfaces to be covered, ensuring accurate measurements and markings.
  • Measure, cut, and fasten underlay and underpadding to create a smooth surface for installation.
  • Install carpeting on floors, including measuring, cutting, and fitting the carpet to ensure a seamless finish.
  • Prepare and install hardwood floors, including sanding, staining, and finishing.
  • Remove existing floor coverings and contaminants to prepare the surface for new installations.
  • Install carpeting on walls or other surfaces, ensuring a secure and even fit.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to understand the project requirements.
Requirements
  • 2 years of experience in floor covering installation.
  • Permanent employment with a regular 40-hour workweek.
  • Fluency in English as the primary language of communication.
