About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Registered Prosthetic Technician to join our clinical health team at Nova Scotia Health. As an integral member of our team, you will provide technical expertise in the evaluation, treatment planning, and implementation of limb prostheses to enhance patient mobility and physical function.

Working collaboratively with our inter-professional health care team, you will contribute to the delivery of optimal prosthetic care and assist patients in achieving their prosthetic goals. Your critical thinking, problem-solving, and effective communication skills will be essential in delivering high-quality care to our patients.

About You

We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in prosthetic/orthotic technology, including a two-year diploma and completion of a technical internship. Your registration as a Registered Technician Prosthetic RTP(c) or both RTP(c) and RTO(c) is also essential. Experience working with patients with physical/cognitive impairments and excellent interpersonal skills are also required.

Hours and Compensation

This is a permanent, full-time position with 75 hours bi-weekly. The hourly rate is $36.54. Successful candidates may also be eligible for a signing bonus and relocation assistance with a defined Return of Service contract.
