Culinary Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team at Southbridge Care Homes. As a key member of our dietary services team, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality meals to our residents.
Key Responsibilities- Review and implement regular and therapeutic menus, ensuring that meals are prepared and served on time and at the correct temperatures.
- Direct and supervise Dietary Aides in food preparation and serving activities, assuming responsibility for routine departmental operations in the absence of the Dietary Manager.
- Monitor and maintain the quality and quantity of food supplies, proper operation of kitchen equipment, and alert the Manager to any problems or concerns.
- Collaborate with other departments to meet resident needs and maintain accurate records of menu changes, delivery receipts, and temperature checks.
- Experience in institutional large quantity cooking is preferred.
- Ability to work safely, following established safety practices and procedures.
- Ability to read and write English and understand moderately complex verbal and written instructions in English.
- Proven ability to provide direction and lead others within a busy environment.
