Carpentry Assistant

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Carpentry Assistant to join our team at Dreamland Finishing Carpentry Ltd. As a key member of our construction team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the successful completion of our projects.
Key Responsibilities- Loading and Unloading Materials: Assist in the safe and efficient loading and unloading of construction materials, including lumber, tools, and equipment.
- Erecting and Dismantling Forms and Scaffolding: Help to set up and take down concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades as required.
- Assisting in Framing and Construction: Assist experienced carpenters in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs.
- Cleaning and Piling Materials: Clean and pile salvaged materials, and assist in the removal of rubble and debris from construction sites.
- Maintaining a Safe Work Environment: Participate in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment, including cleaning up chemical spills and other contaminants.
- Operating Equipment: Assist in the operation of machines and equipment used in construction, under the supervision of experienced operators.
- Education and Training: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required, but a willingness to learn and train is essential.
- Work Site Environment: Be prepared to work in a noisy and dusty environment, with varying temperatures and weather conditions.
- Language: English is the primary language of communication in this role.
- Work Hours: 40 hours per week, with occasional overtime as required.
