The City of Barrie's Information Technology Department is seeking a highly skilled Technology Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our IT support pillar, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our technology infrastructure and providing top-notch support to our staff.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and architect the infrastructure required for the City to operate effectively
- Provide input into technology purchasing decisions and participate on project teams and committees as required
- Ensure that technology infrastructure hardware and systems are working properly and provide support to first-line support staff
- Four (4) year University Degree in Computer Information Systems or a related discipline
- Network or information technology based certification, such as Cisco or Microsoft (or equivalent)
- Five (5) years of experience performing duties related to the major responsibilities of the position
- Working knowledge of Exchange Server, SQL Server, Backup/Archive software, and Linux
- Project management fundamentals and ITIL
- Intermediate skills in Interpersonal, Organizational, Problem Solving, Time Management, Training, Verbal and Written Communication
- Intermediate computer literacy using Windows Desktop and Server OS, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Visio, Microsoft SharePoint
